ABOUT

ROBIN BUECHE

ATTORNEY

Hi. I am Robin Bueche, and I cannot wait to meet you!

You need to be comfortable with your attorney. Let me tell you about me.

My dedication to the law profession started at a young age. I started working in the legal field as a receptionist at a downtown Baton Rouge law firm when I was just 16 and a senior at Lee (now Liberty) High. Immediately after graduating high school in 1977, I began my professional education and studied to become a Louisiana notary. From age 18, I was writing wills, drafting powers of attorney, and performing a host of other official activities. Next, I attended the newly minted LSU Paralegal Studies Program to become a certified paralegal and graduated with a 4.0 grade point average. I spent the following 16 years working as a paralegal in law firms. During those years, while working full time and raising a family, I went to college at night to earn my undergraduate degree in business. I was finally able enroll at Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU in 1992 and graduated with my juris doctorate degree in 1995.

While in law school, I was on the Louisiana Law Review (an honor reserved for the top 10% of the first-year class) and was awarded membership into the Order of the Coif (an honor awarded to the top 10% of the graduating class). I was also inducted into the LSU Law Center Hall of Fame. I served as law clerk for Judge Robert Downing the first year the 19th Judicial District Drug Court was established. I then spent three years as a commercial litigator for McGlinchey Stafford, a regional law firm.

Gaining experience and finding my niche, I spent the next 22 years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, most of those years as vice president and managing attorney of the Legal Services Department. During that time, the healthcare industry saw a growing population of baby boomers emerge, requiring more insurance coverage and incurring more healthcare expenses than any other generation. Seeing these changes unfold revealed a desire to help people in this population make legal decisions that provide control, comfort and certainty at this time in their lives.

I handled wills, successions, powers of attorney, interdictions, etc., while serving in each of my previous employed positions. Since retiring from Blue Cross in 2019, I have focused on assisting friends and family with estate planning. I truly believe this is the most caring and serving part of practicing law. Now that I can focus on what I want to do, I choose to help families with the legal needs they will encounter as they age.

I’ll come to you to keep costs low, I work from my home. I love road trips and would be happy to meet you where you are. Your kitchen table or mine, or the library or a park. Much of my work can be handled by computer or phone if you prefer. Your convenience and comfort with me are key to our relationship.

Contact me today, and let’s get started securing your family’s future.
